Personal data

Personal data are details about your person. These include your name, address and email address. In order to use our website you do not need to provide any personal data. However, in certain cases we will need your name and address as well as further data so that we may provide the services requested.

The same will also apply, if we provide you - upon request - with information material, and/or if we respond to your request. In these cases, we will always point it out to you accordingly. Furthermore, we will only save the data that you disclosed to us automatically or voluntarily.

If you wish to use one of our services, we will generally only collect personal data that we require to provide the services requested. We may ask you for further information, however, the disclosure of this information will take place on a voluntary basis. Anytime, we are processing personal data, we do so exclusively to be able to provide our services to you, or to pursue our commercial objectives.

Automatically stored non-personal data

When you visit our websites, we will collect and store certain information for technical and administrative reasons. These are: Type and version of the used browser, data and time of access, as well as the respective IP address.

This data will be anonymised, and only be used for statistical purposes, as well as to improve our Internet and online services.

This anonymised data is stored on secure systems - separate from all personal data - and cannot be used to identify any individual person. Your personal data and your privacy therefore always remain protected.

Cookies

When you visit our websites, we may store information on your computer in form of cookies. Cookies are small text files that are saved on a computer’s hard drive via a web browser. Article 6 paragraph 1 lit. (f) of the GDPR constitutes the legislative basis for the use of cookies
Only the IP address is stored here - not any other personal data. This information, which is stored in the cookies, allows us to automatically recognise you the next time you visit our website, thereby making it easier for you to use our website.

Of course, you can also visit our website without accepting cookies.  If you do not want your computer to be recognised the next time you visit, you may also decline to use cookies by changing the settings in your browser to "decline cookies". The proper procedure can be found in the operating instructions of your respective browser.  If you decline the use of cookies, however, it may lead to restrictions in the use of some areas of our websites.

Google-Analytics including anonymisation function

For the purpose of the needs-based design and continuous optimisation of our pages, we use on our site Google Analytics, a web analysis service of the company Google Inc., 1600 Amphitheater Parkway, Mountain View, CA 94043 USA, hereafter "Google".  Google Analytics uses so-called cookies, text files which are saved onto your computer and which allow to analyse the use of the website by you.

The information generated by these cookies, such as the time, location and frequency of your website visit, including your IP address, is transmitted to Google in the United States and stored there.

We use Google Analytics on our website with the addition "_gat._anonymizeIp". In this case, your IP address will already be shortened and thus anonymised by Google within member states of the European Union or in other contracting states of the Agreement on the European Economic Area.

Google will use this information to evaluate your use of our site, to compile reports on our website activity, and to provide other services related to website activity and internet usage. Google may also transfer this information to third parties, if required by law or as far as third parties process this data on behalf of Google.

Google claims not to link your IP address to any other data provided by Google.  You can adjust your browser software to prevent the installation of cookies; please note, however, that disabling cookies may mean that you cannot use all the functions of this website to the full extent

In addition, Google offers a deactivation option for the most popular browsers, giving you more control over what data Google collects and processes regarding the websites visited by you.  The Add-on communicates to JavaScript (ga.js) of Google Analytics to not transmit information regarding the visit to the website to Google Analytics.   The deactivation Add-on for Google Analytics browsers does not prevent information from being transmitted to us or any other web analytics services we may use. For more information about the installation of the Add-on browser, please visit the following link:  https://tools.google.com/dlpage/gaoptout?hl=en

If you visit our site via a mobile device (smartphone or tablet), you must instead click this link to prevent tracking by Google Analytics within this website in the future. This is also possible as an alternative to the above browser Add-on.  Clicking on the link places an Opt-Out Cookie in your browser that is valid only for this browser and this domain. If you delete the cookies in this browser, the Opt-Out Cookie will also be deleted, so you will have to click the link again.

If you have agreed that your web and app browser history may be linked by Google to your Google account and that information from your Google account may be used to personalize advertisements, Google will use your information together with Google Analytics data to create target group lists for cross-device remarketing. For this purpose, Google Analytics first collects your Google authenticated ID on our website, which is linked to your Google account (i.e. personal data).  Google Analytics will then temporarily link your ID with your Google Analytics data in order to optimise our target groups.

If you do not agree to this, you can turn it off by means of corresponding settings in the "My Account" section of your Google account.

We have taken technical and administrative security precautions to protect your personal data against loss, destruction, manipulation and unauthorised access. All of our employees and the service providers working for us are obliged to comply with the valid data protection laws.
